@TheTotless Steam releases with a 1k system due to "the cost of parts," nobody panics.
Sony/Nintendo raises their console prices due to "the cost of parts," well then everyone loses their minds!
(Just find the reactions ironic is all)
@artichaut765@TheTotless Again ai is a problem, but valve still had a say on these prices they could’ve made it cheaper, shouldn’t have been more than 1,000-1,100.
@HazedPhantom We can blame ai and ram all we want, but valve still had a say, they could’ve lowered the prices slightly, I’m not saying make it 600, but 1000+ for something that can’t perform on par w/ my ps5 and doesn’t have a controller, and only 512 of space is crazy.
@TheTotless Dumber than rocks to say this. Valve still could’ve subsidized it. There’s no performance justification for it. The people they were aiming at will not buy this. We can blame ai yes that’s a problem , but hold companies accountable.
@N4pstr@topten10fish If it came down to building one or buying the deck you’re better off just building one for the long run or getting a console. (That comes with a controller)
@N4pstr@topten10fish What? 🤣 being ITX doesn’t magically justify the price, plenty of the individual components can be purchased separately and still end up at that price. The issue isn’t that people forgot it’s a small form factor PC; the issue is that the performance doesn’t match the price.
