CSRs are paid $20 an hr. All while being qualified in 7 different fields within customer service and also operate heavy machinery. That’s Exactly why they’re rude because there pay is shit and they’re overworked and have to deal with rude dumbass people all day.
I’m boarding @Delta in Atlanta for Amsterdam. Simply this: this airline is a disgrace. I never experienced this lousy customer service-rude gate agents, indifferent staff, my request prior to travel completely ignored. What has happened to this country’s airlines? Where is pride?
@StewardessChick Yeah, at least to my knowledge United FAs get nice hotels and sometimes even all inclusive. I can’t speak for any other airline though.
@AdamBKaplan@JPHilllllll I agree with that part they are definitely important for safety. But let’s be honest the likelihood of an emergency happening is super low. That Air Canada crash ejected the FA out of the aircraft, so sadly she wasn’t much help honestly.
@batboysagogo@JPHilllllll The union isn’t as strong as the FAs union and also because a lot the CSRs are just allowing themselves to get paid and treated poorly.
@MorePerfectUS Lol FAs don’t do close to as much work as gate agents/ CSRs do yet CSRs get paid $20 an hour. Keep in mind CSRs get qualified in 6 different positions within the job and operate heavy machinery. but the FAs who travel and see the world while staying in nice hotels get more pay?
