I can’t believe the difference a little bit of code can do to these pages!!!

Using tiny scripts in the Godot game engine to shift lighting and sprites with the iPad gyroscope to create depth, and bring the pages to life. Book 4 WIP!!

I can’t believe I managed this!! Learning to code with the incredible #GodotEngine and have created a little script to use the iPad gyroscope to control a light source and shadows to give the title page depth. Thank you @Akien and @NathanGDQuest for help and tutorials.

Today is a big day for @SpySamReading, my adventure book series for early readers with dyslexia. All 3 of the apps are finally updated in @godotengine!

This has let me add loads of little animations to bring the stories to life. It will also make it easier to finish the series.

I have always loved this scene. It’s a bit dark, but then the Spy Sam series was always designed to be read at bedtime snuggled up.

The blue background makes text easier to read if you have dyslexia.
