Secondly, you have to have the revenue to be able to keep them once their original contract is up in order to stay competitive.
If the players and agents weren't trying to one-up each other every year with contracts, it might be attainable.
Everybody ignores what is a legitimate case that these players are overpaid just a tad. There are plenty of instances where players are okay with a lesser salary to stay together as a team. Baseball needs more of that.
@TalknGrubb@DanClarkSports From a filmography standpoint, Cleveland and Milwaukee's stadiums looked very similar behind the plate as well, as far the design goes.
It’s the 5th inning, he’s the catcher, which is typically the slower runner of the 9 anyways, he’s not in a hurry to crouch down behind the plate sooner than he has to… He’s conserving his energy for the remaining 4 innings. But I’m sure we’ve found an advocate for a base running clock as well…
Thread full of people complaining about people being from out of town but this is what happens when you have a sports team in a vacation destination. People will travel to come see their team play. I honestly think people are saving their cash for the World Series tickets cuz they think the Rays already punched their ticket by beating the Yankees… Ask the Sox what happened with Cleveland, lol.
MORPHEUS IN THE DODGERS LOCKER ROOM: “What if I told you… if you win again, they’ll have the evidence they need to cap it and Zion falls. If you tank and lose, you might be able to save it, a sort of smoke and mirrors, if you will. Sacrifice one season for the next 10, to save Zion!!! Are you in or are you out?”
@bbournival Tropicana Gymnasium, St Tweekersburg Florida. You get what you pay for here in this case anyways. It is priced exactly what it is worth. ☠️

To be concerned with the MLB’s revenue from viewership over the overall competitive playing field of the game is the reason why we’re in this spot.
If the Brewers and Guardians or Rays make it, neither fan base will care about how many other people are watching, just the higher up executives that are worried about profit. Stadiums will be packed either way, childhood experiences never forgotten, that’s what it’s supposed to be about.
Real fans of baseball will watch no matter who’s in it. Potentially newer fans in any given small market teams’ locale will come and go quickly once they see that their team won’t be able to afford a good team to root for.
Or they’ll just jump on the popular bandwagon like what has happened since the late 90’s with the Yankees, and now LA. It just continues to snowball like inflation, while the root of the problem persists.
@Charles32962 Sports books don’t even advertise the WNBA as something people should gamble on. WNBA possibly would have more viewers if they were promoted from that angle. If someone has money on them they’ll more likely to be watching the games.
@thejimjams The drama that is allowed to play out equals viewership to the league’s benefit… pretty simple. The only reason I ever watched that one nascar race was to see if anybody would crash. It didn’t happen so I never tuned in again. lol
