@nikki57 @luxemiaa Pfft I have been teaching my youngest boy(now 18) the difference between a tea towel and a dishcloth for as long as he has been alive. He STILL brings a tea towel to clean up a spill or wipe the table down after dunner.

1982 - English Lit A Level, Anthony and Cleopatra, the Winter’s tale, Jane Eyre, Keats, Conrad’s Secret Agent, Miller’s A view from the Bridge and All my Sons. Left me with a loathing of Keats, an aversion to Conrad and a love for Miller. Remain fond of Shakespeare.

@TypeForVictory 1980-82 JMB GCE O'Level English Literature = Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' (play), Laurie Lee 'Cider with Rosie' (prose), 10 poems each from John Betjeman, WH Auden, RS Thomas. We smashed the crap out of those for 2 years. I got an 'A' in the exam. Quality over quantity.

@SaffronKim 1979 I was smart but “talks too much”. Told I was too distractable for uni. Suggested retail management cos I had a Saturday job so thats what I did. I was 51 B4 i went to uni. I now have a first class BSc and an MSc with distinction. All achieved whilst working full time.
