A year ago today (technically about 2am the next day, but whatever), we packed up our instruments after a gig with Peter and looked forward to reassembling for the St-Patrick’s week madness that was around the corner.
Little did we realize the three of us wouldn’t play together again for an indeterminate amount of time. And we’re still waiting.
We miss you @HurleysIrishPub, we miss all of you who would come out to the gigs, and we miss playing.
To be fair, there are only four. "Oh no, a whale", "Oh no, the French", "Goodbye, my pregnant sweetheart, unfortunately I will never come back but good luck with everything" and "Someone is drunk and an unfortunate series of events is occurring"
@TerryDiMonte I bet you do - and I was thinking the same thing about that tune given the situation (and I’ve also created my morning ear worm 🙄).
Perhaps @woodvid & @SquidjiggerBand can re-write it à la Griffintown & perform it virtually on air.
Nudge nudge, Dave. I’m very subtle 😉
A 1% drop in GDP is a recession. We called a 6.5% drop in GDP "The Great Recession". In 1929, we called a 15% drop in GDP "The Great Depression". What the fuck do we call a 33% drop in GDP?
