HCA is the nation’s largest for-profit hospital chain.
It’s also the #1 sponsor of residency training programs in the U.S.
And HCA has **QUADRUPLED** the number of residents they train over the past decade.
(But yeah, tell me again how hospitals lose money training residents.)

@PeterSjostedtH I’d like to see the same title but as medicine reformers. Medicine, especially psychiatry, would benefit immensely from philosophy. The sterile, unimaginative and hyper-concrete ways of thinking are one of the factors killing the field… and destroying the practitioners, as well.

UCSF/ZSFG Emergency Medicine residents have organized a program to allow patients to vote while in the ER, even those on 5150/5250 holds. The program gets the ballot to the pt's bedside, assists them in completing it (if needed) & an on-site secure ballotbox was procured
Amazing

My name is Jada McMahon and I am so excited to be applying for a psychiatry residency in #Match2023! I’m interested in CAP and correctional psychiatry particularly for Black folx ✊🏾. So excited to connect with #psychtwitter!
One thing I want all resident physicians to be free from is the idea that we need to be immensely grateful for just being here. So grateful to serve that we shouldn’t demand more. All that does is perpetuate the unjustness of the system.
