First-ever District Decarbonisation Climate Action Plans for four districts, Coimbatore, The Nilgiris, Ramanathapuram & Virudhunagar, were launched today by Hon’ble Minister Thiru @TThenarasu. We have developed these plans over the last two years in collaboration with Vasudha Foundation, with strong data and scientific inputs. These plans set clear local priorities viz. Industrial emission reduction in Coimbatore, Green mobility in Nilgiris, Blue carbon restoration in Ramanathapuram, and Renewable energy scale-up in Virudhunagar. The Tamil Nadu Climate Action Tracker was also launched to monitor and report district-wise progress.
