War is a terrible humanitarian tragedy, inflicting pain on innocent and the not so innocent alike. It's natural , infact noble, to wish for peace.

But not all those who seek peace are driven by love and kindness. Performative pacifism spouted by the average wokes, D stocks and assorted self proclaimed Indian liberal is driven by something darker :

Narcissism.

This narcissism has two components - moral and intellectual. Neither is earned or deserved.

Moral narcissism: the typical "holier than thou" woke thinks she's a genteel peacenik, while the others are bloodthirsty monsters. She then promptly proceeds to tweet De-Escalate™ , to demonstrate her moral superiority over the unwashed masses.

Intellectual narcissism: this "smarter than thou" delusion is more common among the D stocks and liberal Bongs. The former is often more crude and crass than the latter, but the underlying idea is the same. These people feel they alone are privy to the cosmic secret that war causes death and destruction, which of course the normies don't know. Since they are desperate to sound intelligent, they readily embrace contrarian ideas and conspiracy theories. Their skepticism isn't even original - it's just a group think of their echo chamber.

Their pacifism isn't about peace. It's about themselves. It's a blend of stupidity and arrogance wearing the cloak of love. It's moral grandstanding for likes and shares. It's the vacuousness to assume they are the final arbiters of morality and ethics.

This is why it's hard to take these clowns seriously.
