இன்று என் ஆங்கிலத்தை வைத்து என்னை கேலி செய்கிறவர்கள், உண்மையில் என்னை மட்டும் அல்ல... என்னைப் போன்ற அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்களையும், தமிழ் வழியில் படிக்கும் லட்சக்கணக்கான குழந்தைகளையும் கேலி செய்கிறார்கள்.

நான் பள்ளியில் கணிதம், அறிவியல், சமூக அறிவியல் அனைத்தையும் தமிழில்தான் படித்தேன். எனக்கு இரண்டாம் மொழியாக பிரெஞ்ச் படிக்கும் வாய்ப்போ, உயர்தர தனியார் பள்ளியில் படிக்கும் வசதியோ இல்லை.

கார்ப்பரேட் உலகிற்குள் சென்றபோது ஆங்கிலத்தில் தடுமாறினேன். தவறுகள் செய்தேன். கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். இன்னும் கற்றுக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறேன். அதில் எனக்கு எந்த வெட்கமும் இல்லை.

இன்று என்னை ஆங்கிலத்திற்காக இணையத்தில் கூட்டமாக கேலி செய்கிறவர்கள், நாளை அதேபோல் ஆங்கிலத்தில் தடுமாறும் ஒரு அரசு பள்ளி மாணவனையும், ஒரு தமிழ் வழி மாணவியையும் இதேபோல அவமானப்படுத்த மாட்டார்கள் என்று யார் உறுதி தர முடியும்?

ஒரு அரசு பள்ளி மாணவன் உலக மேடையில் நிற்க வேண்டும். ஒரு தமிழ் வழி மாணவி எந்த மேடையிலும் தலையை நிமிர்ந்து பேச வேண்டும். அதற்கான சூழலை உருவாக்குவதே என் நோக்கம்.

என்னை விமர்சியுங்கள். என் பணியை கேள்வி கேளுங்கள். ஆனால் ஒரு தலைமுறையின் தன்னம்பிக்கையை கேலி செய்யாதீர்கள்.

மேலும், பரப்பப்படும் அந்த வீடியோவை நான் எடுக்கவில்லை. அது ஊடகங்கள் எடுத்த காட்சி. நான் யாரையும் படம் எடுக்கச் சொல்லவில்லை. ஊடகங்கள் செய்தி சேகரிப்பது அவர்களின் பணி. உண்மையை அறிய விரும்பினால் அவர்களிடமே கேளுங்கள்.

இன்னொரு கேள்வி...
இன்று என்னை கேலி செய்கிற அரசியல்வாதிகள் மற்றும் அவர்களை ஆதரிப்பவர்கள் அவர்களின் சொந்த குழந்தைகள் எத்தனை பேர் அரசு பள்ளிகளில், தமிழ் வழியில் படிக்கிறார்கள்?

அரசு பள்ளியை நம்பாதவர்கள், அரசு பள்ளியில் படித்த ஒரு பெண்ணை கேலி செய்வது எளிது.
ஆனால் அந்த அரசு பள்ளியில் படித்த பெண் இன்று இந்த இடத்தில் நிற்பதே என் பதில்.

Safe footpaths are essential to a city that puts people first. Through our Safe Footpath Campaign, we are making Namma Bengaluru's streets safer, more accessible and easier to navigate for every pedestrian, while carrying out the drive in a fair and orderly manner.

Over the last three days, we have cleared encroachments from more than 200 km of footpaths across arterial and sub-arterial roads under all five city corporations. I appreciate the dedicated efforts of our officers, civic workers and everyone involved in taking this initiative forward with commitment and care. This is a strong beginning, and we will continue this work with consistency.

Every footpath we reclaim is a step towards a more walkable, accessible and well-planned Bengaluru. We remain committed to creating public spaces that are safe, inclusive and built around the needs of our people.

Communists have no place in Tamil Nadu’s politics. They celebrate poverty and prefer to keep our cities ugly.

The state government must be firm, especially on urban planning and rebuilding civic infrastructure. No one should be allowed to occupy footpaths.

Over time, we can implement many best practices by learning from countries like Singapore and Japan.

These countries also have street side shops, but they are licensed, organised, and well regulated. They do not hinder pedestrian movement or traffic.

@tamiltalkies if Jaya was alive now Vijay will be in alliance with BJP, if not he wouldn't have come to politics, same for Udhay. But its the reality now that he seems to be even better than past rulers (MGR, Jaya, Karuna). Let's look forward and see what's in store for the future.
