Academy of Engineering- Senior Spotlight
My name is Zahara White. I joined the academy as a sophomore, being new to the area and having heard about it from others. I chose engineering as my path because I have an interest in construction, math, and science.
My most memorable experience was when we volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. We spent time on-site helping contribute to our community and building houses. It was cool to be able to apply what we were learning in classes to real life.
They were always educational and getting to go places, during the school day with your best friends is fun. I attended Atlas International School.

At the end of it, we were able to mathematically solve for time a Nerf dart would take to reach its maximum height if shot straight up. My middle school was Lufkin Road Middle School.
My name is Alexander Rebodello. I chose the Engineering Academy for the unique project-focused learning. The Engineering Academy has taught me all the fundamentals of engineering while introducing me to some of the brightest and friendliest students.
My most memorable Academy experience would have to be the joint-class experiment between my Physics and Engineering classes. We went outside near the trailers on a sunny and windy day.
