Stop making excuses for your kids. STOP IT. Teach them to earn things, not demand things. Hold them to a higher standard. Challenge them. That way, when I try to challenge them, they’ll know we both expect it.

Just google “Israel administrative detainees” and you’ll see NPR, Washington Post, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, etc etc all saying the same thing. They use admin detention to hold people indefinitely without charges/evidence
