PRAYER
It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris
it could be
weeds in a vacant lot
or a few small stones;
just pay attention then patch
a few words together & don’t try
to make them elaborate this isn’t
a contest but a doorway
into thanks & a silence in which
another voice may speak.
I wanna talk about the disabled angels: there's so many 'in heaven they will finally be free of their wheelchair' and 'they will be made whole again in heaven' narratives around disabled people, so to see visibly disabled angels means everything, thank you @neilhimself#GoodOmens
Beneath the scaffolding:
As we await the completion of works, we'll be posting some interesting perspectives on #AllSaintsBrightlingsea from the #restoration works funded by @HeritageFundUK. Here's the tower-top #view we hope to be giving everyone once more. Breathtaking!

While the @HeritageFundUK grant takes care of the #tower repairs & new facilities, our #GoldenKey#volunteers can take care of bringing #Easter joy to families with a fantastic egg hunt, making the most of those beautiful 7.5 acres of #churchyard.
#EasterDay#AllAge#Communion in @StJamesBsea
Alleluia! Christ is risen! A wonderful #celebration of light & song & beauty & hope & joy as the family of #God. Worshipping with scratch art, musical instruments, holy water, choral song, hiding & seeking & Holy Communion. #Blessed
Had #Year1 in @StJamesBsea learning about the #cross. Thought & prayed about what to tell children so young. The cross is a sad shape (Jesus was killed) & happy/#hopeful one (Jesus came back). Cross pose & arms-up victory pose & welcome are more similar than I previously realised
On Sunday, we had our first #CafeChurch in @StJamesBsea for the #PresentationOfChrist alongside our usual 8:00 Communion & Zoom service, then finished off with beautiful evening #Taize worship. So grateful for my wonderful #team, especially Karen who baked up an absolute storm!
Great fun at #LegoChurch Thursday afternoon 5:00-6:30 in @StJamesBsea- lots of build challenges, creativity, humour & imagination. School years 5-10 (ages 10-15) welcome! #EverythingIsAwesome
I understand that the King asked for this poem by @malcolmguite to be read at the Royal Carol Service. It deserves to be read everywhere this Christmas.
