We ran just under 500 reps with @DashrMPS yesterday and zero misses…
Last session probably 400 and 2 misses, both same kid. So I did some observation and realized it was probably hitting him too low and raised the tripod up. Didn’t miss anything. We ran two lanes non stop for 80 minutes. AND best of all? I didn’t write down a single rep. Just used roster and uploaded directly to @RockDaisyAMS Three different drills, three different set ups. Only issue we had was heat getting one of our iPads at end.

After our 180 game speed initial testing we went in to 5/10 fly stop at 18. Kids learned a lot about controlling speed today! Started #GameSpeed about six weeks late this year, but we will spend the summer with it!!

This was later on after they’d already hit several sets of it. Still getting refocused and driving.
No “push” set today so just 75% as projected off last week’s heavy singles at .3 m/s as a 1RM.
Goal was .8-.9 peak velocity for every rep but ultimately it’s just a number…max intent is what we chased! @StJamesFB
First part of the session today was focused on some non traditional movements. Bench drop catch with rebound and a split stance cross raise. Working some of @korfist upper body movements for sprinters into our football program. @StJamesFB
So a couple kids were showing off and went more than once but this is essentially 80 seconds of our 🏈 class guys touching a 10 foot rim…we had 3-4 who could two months ago.
Oh and we did heavy singles on box squat at 90% working to .35 mean velocity and ran out of 45 pound plates!! 100% of the guys hit a PR on their push sets. Was a good day to be @StJamesFB@scagle12

We keep lowering the box and keep hearing how they can’t get the weight if they go lower but…they can! Still really working on the hip drive off the box….but guys really got after it today! 8x2 at 85%…push sets the last 3 sets with a floor of .35 m/s trying to keep the peak as high as possible. @StJamesFB
Porter Knox @StJamesFB Soph OL 225 pounds…pretest 1.37 in the 5/10 fly hit 1.31 today. Missed his push set at 405x2 that he smoked at 0.56 at a 1.11 peak. Had quite a day! Initial 3RM was 325 (projected at 345).
Pretty good day for @stjamesfb …6x3 at 80% chasing .80 peak velocity…with last two sets being PUSH sets where we ditched the 80% and went after a MEAN velocity of 0.4 m/s…
Had a few guys have to grind a bit at the end but the energy was next level…no WAY I have them back off
By the way we had one dude over 225 on bench two months ago!!
