On May 2, 2026, Most Reverend Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop of the Diocese of Columbus, conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on 56 of our young people. We thank our shepherd for his visit and for conferring this important sacrament on the youth of our Oratory. Deo gratias!

Last week, two new oblates of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest received the cassock from the Prior General at Kloster Maria Engelport in Germany. One is from Columbus & served Mass at St. Leo Oratory. Congratulations to the new oblates and their families!

At St. Leo Oratory, we were honored to receive a visit from our Bishop Earl Fernandes on Sat., Nov. 29, opening our Novena in preparation for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.  We are grateful for his visit, and for his preaching the sermon and giving Benediction.

Bishop Brennan, then Bishop of Columbus, established our own St. Leo Oratory as an apostolate of the Institute of Christ the King 5 years ago, so it is a joy for us to see that the Institute can be of service to him now in his current Diocese of Brooklyn at St. Josaphat Oratory!

Happy and blessed Feast of St. Josaphat! At the invitation of the Most Reverend Robert Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, the Institute has been entrusted with St. Josaphat’s in the Bayside neighborhood of Queens. Last Sunday, the Prior General of the Institute, Monsignor Wach, celebrated the solemn Mass at the newly established Oratory. Canon Andreas Hellmann, who celebrated his 25th anniversary of priestly ordination earlier this year, has been appointed as the Oratory’s Rector by Bishop Brennan.
