In our data handling computing unit, we explored how data is transmitted over Bluetooth. To find out how to avoid data being corrupted, we played a game where we had to transmit data in ‘packets’. #StPhilipsComputingY6 #teamstphilips

Bushcraft skills include starting a fire do we can toast marshmallows. It took a bit of practice and some skill to get a spark! #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential

The low ropes in the woods offered a series of challenges. We had to apply teamwork and support to swing and climb over a series of obstacles. #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential

Safety was important when we flew down the zip wire. Our instructor made sure we were secure and explained how to release the ropes at the end. #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential

Stand up paddle boarding was so much fun! We paddled into the Menai Strait before returning to the harbour. It should be called kneeling paddle boarding, but some of us managed to stand near the end! #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential

We went exploring the Menai Straits in our canoes. It was much harder than it looked! In amongst the seaweed we found some crabs and shells. We were watched by two herons and a noisy oyster catcher! #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential

Just as we were getting ready to go canoeing it started to rain. It looks like we’re going to get wetter than we thought! #teamstphilips #stphilipY6residential

Working as a team to build a raft was only the start of the task. Getting the raft in the water and staying on it proved just a bit too tricky! #teamstphilips #stphilipsY6residential

Mountain biking was a challenge! We cycled to the beach and around a track at the centre. Our legs were tired at the end! #teamstphilips #stphilipsy6residential
