We’ve been thinking about the relationship between science and faith and we have written explanations and poems alongside some artwork to show what it means to us #StPhilipsREY6#TeamStPhilips@StPhilipCEAP
We are thinking of our wonderful year 6 children today as they spend the day at their high school! 😀⭐️ We can’t wait to hear all about it! @StPhilipCEAP#teamstphilips
What a super (and exhausting) time we had completing a fitness circuit with Daniel Purvis. We were amazed at his Olympic floor routine from 2012 and have absolutely loved having him visit our school today #TeamStPhilips@StPhilipCEAP#StPhilipPEY6
High ropes in the woods tested our nerves! We bravely climbed to some height, relying on our team mates to keep us safe. #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
The low ropes in the woods offered a series of challenges. We had to apply teamwork and support to swing and climb over a series of obstacles. #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
Safety was important when we flew down the zip wire. Our instructor made sure we were secure and explained how to release the ropes at the end. #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
Don’t let go of the rope! There needed to be a lot of trust during this activity. It’s not easy to complete a course whilst blindfolded! #teamstphilips#stphilipsY6residential
Bushcraft skills include starting a fire do we can toast marshmallows. It took a bit of practice and some skill to get a spark! #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
An exercise in following instructions, leadership and trust! The night line is a testing activity that needs a bit of confidence and lots of bravery, and we all completed it! #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
Mountain biking was a challenge! We cycled to the beach and around a track at the centre. Our legs were tired at the end! #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
Working as a team to build a raft was only the start of the task. Getting the raft in the water and staying on it proved just a bit too tricky! #teamstphilips#stphilipsY6residential
We went exploring the Menai Straits in our canoes. It was much harder than it looked! In amongst the seaweed we found some crabs and shells. We were watched by two herons and a noisy oyster catcher! #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
Following on from our shelter building, we made group fires and started them with flint and steel. We toasted marshmallows around them - yum! #teamstphilips#stphilipsY6residential
Stand up paddle boarding was so much fun! We paddled into the Menai Strait before returning to the harbour. It should be called kneeling paddle boarding, but some of us managed to stand near the end! #teamstphilips#stphilipsy6residential
