Golden Equity thinks tenants have unlimited money and shouldn't have any standards. Please show your support and send a message that this is unacceptable.
THEN, they got returned today, and Golden Equity is refusing to accept them. Their position is that we need to get written permission from tenants to submit and "represent" them. It didn't work out so well for GE last time. #ChallengeAccepted#tenantrights
Golden Equity is back at it again. Tenants submitted a batch of much needed work orders. The Property Manager, who's hardly around, wasn't in the office during posted hours.
A very heartfelt and sincere happy belated birthday to our landlord Michael Bregman. Happy birthday Mikey! We hope all your hopes and wishes come true. Also, can you pay @Enbridge bill so we have heat this winter? Thanks.

Golden Equity Properties uses Wyse Meter Solutions. A tenant just realized that not all payments are being credited to their account. Wyse's solution? Put the tenant on pre-authorized payment and continue to say the same amount over and over again. 🤦♀️
Thanks to everyone who called and emailed yesterday! Tenants are asking that people continue sending messages to Golden Equity. If you click on the link sending an email only takes two seconds. Thanks! Email here: https://t.co/x1yIzfBFj6
@DylanMcGan22168 @JohnPasalis That doesn't do much, as a landlord will keep increasing the rent in above guideline increases. The tenant will either move out when they get that notice (paying even more) or pay the amount on that sheet (because they don't know their rights).
@KatInfiniteBank@JohnPasalis Do you want to know what my raise was this year? 3%. Do you want to know how much my landlord wants to raise rent? 5.5%. Because they neglect their buildings until forced to do something by the LTB or city. Even the government mandated 2.5% practically eats up my raise.
With evictions rising and rental prices soaring, it’s long past time for Ontario to restore real rent control. Take two minutes to send a letter to your elected officials calling for them to Say Yes to Fair Rents! https://t.co/kqMOCByQhq
Unfortunately for management, these tenants are organized and have a history of winning their fights. They are determined to get an answer one way or another.
It will take a generation to create enough supply AND for the units to devalue b4 they become affordable. We can't wait a generation. Ontarians need affordable housing NOW. Removing rent control exemptions would immediately make a difference for the 1.7 million renter households.
IMPORTANT: Reminder to ALL #odsp recipients from this thoughtful person that you MUST declare this in the new section in MyBenefits or your benefits will be paused. And IP addresses are being tracked 👀👇🏻
Do it ASAP! 🙏

@Gruesomebrat In my interactions with City staff and managers, I don't think it's a healthy workplace. Neither is there any incentive to enact meaningful change.
Obviously, this goal cannot be achieved 20-50 units at a time. Those are nice extras, and baby steps can add up if there are enough of them, but if there is to be any hope at all, we need to see large-scale spending on housing from all 3 levels of government.
For clarity, this is the former UN Special Rapporteur for Adequate Housing, telling @JohnTory, once again, that under his direction, @cityoftoronto are breaking international laws.
