From Sunday to Tuesday there were recurring power outages at 71 Thorncliffe Park. Tenants could not cool our apartments during the heat wave. Today, the power is shut down for a previously planned outage.
These issues didn’t exist before Starlight and PSP Investments took over.

We confronted PSP’s President and CEO Deborah Orida and demanded she drop the above guideline rent increases at our buildings.
Rather than build and maintain housing directly, governments prefer to subsidize non-profits, who then in turn subsidize private landlords. Landlords can make good reliable income by clearing buildings of low-rent private tenants and replacing them with non-profit clients. 🧵
