Does anyone know why Torbay Council has triggered their Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP), but Exeter City Council @ExeterCouncil hasn't?

It's freezing out there. 🥶🌨️💨

And with the wind chill it's even worse.

Anyway, St Thomas Food Fight are serving hot food & drinks tomorrow morning (New Year's Day) on Cowick Street, opposite the Post Office. 11:30am to 12:30pm

Everyone welcome, not only the homeless. We will be providing free warm hats, gloves, scarves & socks too. And mince pies

With early January temperatures plummeting well below freezing over the coming nights, Exeter City Council has introduced extra measures to bring rough sleepers indoors.

Students and staff donated to a collection table ran by our HCP faculty. This food is going to @StThomasFood, a charity that provides hot food for those in need. The team of volunteers will provide extra meals over the holiday period.
