No team wants to face Enzo Fernรกndez as a true DLP in a well-structured setup.
When he is allowed to receive deeper, dictate the tempo and control the first phase, his passing range becomes a serious problem. He can break pressure with one-touch combinations, switch play, play through the lines and constantly manipulate the opposition's shape.
The key is structure around him. Give Enzo the right protection and positional freedom, and you unlock the midfielder Chelsea originally signe.
Enzo as an 8 can hurt you.
Enzo as a DLP can control you.
๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ง: In 2018, Ronaldo finished as the top scorer for both Real Madrid and Juventus.
28 goals for Real Madrid
16 goals for Juventus
He played just 5 months at each club. ๐
Jackson 10/LF/LW/SS/9
Shows that Jackson is a good footballer, yeah he'll miss some easy chances but he'll still deliver double figure goals and carry everyone along and bring the best out of them,,Unicorn of a player
I want him to be more selfish, shooters shot, this kid is going to average 17-20 NPGs due to this nature.
He takes responsibility and will get into the positions
We have too many players who don't/can't generate shots like he can, esp off the dribble
Long as it's not coming at the expense of a clearly better passing option (which there wasn't in this clip) it's a v good thing
Apparently Enzo is the only one thag has weaknesses. Not a mention about the fact that Alonso's system helps with that and Enzo's role as ive mentioned many times was hardly in the pivot. Caicedo and Lavia and co with Reece were in the pivots but we were not good defending. Enzo gets the blame however. Hes apparently the only one that should score, build up, create chances, and defend at the same time
Mahdi-Nicol Jazuli is one of the most defensively sound midfielders in this preseason. Rewatched his game vs JDT. The way he reads the game shocks me man. Tracks runners and uses his body excellently to get in front of his man to win the ball and has the tech to recover the ball and make a deft pass. Reacts extremely well to loose balls in midfield. Hes 16 yet plays so much like a 25 year old.

Seeing wayyy too many guys propping Jackson rn who were bricking me when I was doing it a couple months agoโฆ
The worst part is I promise you this is the same player, the idea that the Bayern loan changes him is not true
Iโve been thinking on this back 4 vs back 3 question for a while now, and I realize itโs not really an attacking ceiling debate. Itโs more of a sustainability one.
Every record of the last 20 years belongs to a back 4 side & most teams whoโve sustain dominance are back 4 teams.
Remember who stood by you Nico.
But really I thought with the Rogers signing he might be redundant seeing as Rogers does exactly what he does but I just donโt think I want to lose him now.
The +โs far outweigh the -โs with Nico.
He can gel an attack and bullies every CB, if you want a superteam you keep the stars who arenโt 1% at anything but good overall in and around the squad.
They raise the level up and donโt bring the level of the team down when time calls for it.
Imagine keeping a high CF level split between JO and nico.
JP 60/65 mins, Jackson the rest again tired legs.
An 8-year-old boy walked through those doors. A man walks out. Dream lived. Purpose fulfilled. To every academy player at Chelsea: keep believing. Your time will come. Never give up. ๐
