Stable Analytics partnered with @Equibase to participate in the AAEP sensor study, which included over 100 two-year-old Thoroughbreds wearing Stable Analytics’ Equigraph sensors during training.
Among participating companies in the published analysis, our team contributed the largest dataset, including the most horses, reported breezes, injury predictions, and diagnosis reports.
The study found that horses flagged yellow or red by participating wearable sensor systems were about 2x more likely to sustain musculoskeletal issues than horses marked green.
While the AAEP reported aggregate results across all participating companies, we’re excited to share Equigraph-specific data and outcomes in a publication later this year.
AAEP has released findings from its Wearable Biometric Sensor Research Project, a first-of-its-kind prospective study evaluating the effectiveness of sensor technology in detecting impending musculoskeletal injuries in Thoroughbred racehorses.

Had another great meeting on an app nearing completion yesterday.
Scan the horse. Confirm identity. Unlock live Equibase + Jockey Club data tied to that animal on the spot and log the location w/ reason codes for the scan.
This is how antiquated workflows start to modernize.
Some cool things coming out of @StableAnalytics Q1 2026. Here is the pedigree of Danehill. The image on the left is his traditional 5x, on the right is actually how it is genetically with his inbreeding. Nodes are colored in their mitochondrial haplogroup.
“Since Incredibolt's sire, Bolt d'Oro, is out of a mare by A.P. Indy, his pedigree features the relatives 3x4x4. This pattern would significantly increase the chance of Incredibolt having received nuclear DNA that is a good match for the mitochondrial DNA he would have received”
A sample of 14,356 horses born in 2019. There are only 29 different mitochondrial haplotypes. That means, pre-stud book all these horses trace tail-female to just 29 mares.
