Just listened to this. Respect to Alex and you guys - but y’all got a lot wrong on how it works for US citizens. If citizens have a foreign job they either get out of paying US taxes or pay the difference between the two tax rates to the US.

Also, giving up the US passport for “tax reasons” or to become sovereign is stupid. You lose visa free access to tons of countries, the US job market, and easy navigation in the US financial system.

The only people who do this are US dual citizens who grew up/made tons of money outside of the US, who have no real ties to the US. Or if you’re a criminal. Makes 0 sense otherwise.

There’s still benefits to being a dual citizen/resident as US citizen but for most it makes sense to stay paying taxes in the US it’s still a huge leg up
