@Radford_Freya And after all that… a huge thank you to my amazing team of co-authors on this one, especially the every patient and supportive @OceanRics and my partner in seagrass-y fieldwork crime, @Oceanic_Dave.
Only six years in the making…! 😅
Let’s do it again soon? 🙏
🌱 NEW PAPER 🌱
Quantifying sedimentary blue carbon in relation to canopy cover in seagrass meadows - Felgate et al., (2024)

This study also led to a #microplastics paper led by @Radford_Freya.
In that study we found substantial microplastics deposits despite the remote and uninhabited nature of the Atoll.
Seagrass canopy didn’t influence microplastic accumulation either.

@MikePeacock86 Kind of, tho I think it’s Simpson’s if the two groups both operated in opposite direction to data as a whole, whereas here they look (to my eye) to operate in opposing directions. But you see what I mean.
Interested in how trawling affects benthic carbon processing? 🤔
Come hear about our systematic review into what we know, what we don’t know, and where the uncertainties lie (w/ @MarijaSciberras @micheljkaiser)
Hall X1 (Board 1.40) today from 16:15 - 18:00 #EGU24 👋🏼
@DrJoseMFarinas I would love to talk to you about this work! We’re working on another OSO project looking at lobster habitat to inform management practices (in Belize), so there’s maybe some overlap / synergies 🤔
