A nice example of scent-marking including cheek rubbing, scraping, and body rubbing by a puma. Scent-marking is a form of communication and an integral part of animal behaviour; impacting population structure, individual fitness, and potentially regulating spatial distributions.

In the left corner, a jaguar cub detected in 2015 in CBWS. In the right corner, the same individual reappears in 2018 as an adult male at Bocawina! So cool we are able to detect these dispersal events with camera trap grids.
