@JAToto4th I believe that knowing the students interests in one of the first steps to creating a successful Makerspace. Is it frowned upon to have examples available for students to refer to? #Wuedt6020
@GinaWilmU I just got an iPad for the first time in my classroom. Technology is scarce in our district. I’ve found that most of our families do have access to Smartphones, but have limited data. 😞#Wuedt6020
@JAToto4th@GinaWilmU@McCoolWILMu That’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing! We have done author studies in the past and were able to connect with authors via email, but Skype would be that much better! #wuedt6020
@JAToto4th I agree! I think having an open-mind about new technology goes a long way, I also think that more resources need to be available to teachers attempting to use it. One tech person per building is not enough! #Wuedt6020
@AndreaEnnis8 You are absolutely correct! It would be nice if we had more time! Are there any PDs that you’ve taken in the past that have proved to be successful with incorporating technology in the classroom that you could share? #Wuedt6020
@Jacccc5 My favorite Web2.0 tool for my classroom is Padlet. I love the endless possibilities for creativity, and its user-friendly features. #wuedt6020
@EmilyBain18 We use screencasting to give students directions for completing S.S. Webquests. Since we lack a curriculum for S.S. in our district, we must always be creative. Screencasts allow us to deliver instructions & give students the chance to refer back to them as needed. #wuedt6020
@McCoolWILMu Week4TwitterChat: Facebook is a social media technology that I use in my classroom. I can post in multiple languages & connect w/ my student's families locally & globally. With an abundance of ELL students, it helps connect across continents. #wuedt6020
@GinaWilmU@McCoolWILMu I have used Google Hangout personally before, but never in the classroom. Does it function the same, as in it's like a walkie talkie,/instant messenger?Do you have it set up as a Chrome Extension? #wuedt6020

@altemtinst@McCoolWILMu Hey Ron! I like your Infographic. Seems like quite a few people have chosen Makerspaces. I feel like they would be great for Science and STEM projects. I wonder how I could incorporate them into my 2nd grade classroom without a huge expense?

@JamesPar1978 I used the #flippedclassroom in my 6010 course, and really enjoyed it. I was even able to adapt it slightly to fit 2nd grade and the population that I work with. #WUEDT6020
