Social media will be ingrained in every area of our lives from private, public, work, education, leisure, and even religious. The line between public and private will turn grey. Facebook is moving into the religious experience now. #INFO246w82 https://t.co/YXp0VYsCUd
@kirstendax2 I know our public library has it posted everywhere about photography at events and names for virtual events like cupcake wars. With this in mind knowing you can have a picture taken they then allow you to tag yourself on their post if you so desire.
@LostCoastBlue This is a great detailed document. One of my favorite parts is where they said they will do their best but hey hear are some steps and places to learn about what you can do to safeguard your privacy.
@ellebee4707 Yes, we can collect most of this data and information without having to invade patron privacy. We only need counts or titles and not names making it easier on us to separate the two.
Keeping patron information private is essential to keep the library safe for all. An opt in system for adults could be used with full disclosure about who can access, how it can be used, and when shared. Data analytics can capture checkout trends without patron info. #INFO246w75
@dlwtallent I like the idea of not only using social media for library ideas but to celebrate wins. I think this could be internal or external wins within the community. The building of relationships and community is what social media is about.
We use social media as a bulletin board. While we get views and a few comments it is not social. We don't even have our own page we piggyback off the campus page. Goals become more socially independent. #INFO246w621 https://t.co/L7KTVjK5fh
@GingerBiblioph1 Boston is one of my favorite cities. It is also the one I visited by myself right out of high school. I just made a trip and had a blast. I will make it back some day.
Hi, My name is Samantha. I live in northern Wyoming and it's beautiful country out here. We may only have two seasons but we make the most of it playing in all the weather. #INFO246w67
