Completely 💔 over the loss of Dwayne Haskins. We send our love to his family, friends & OSU. Toxic commentary furthers our resolve @LIFEoverLOGO to #SupportAthletes Highlighting HEALTHY dialogue stemming from the negative SM out there 👇🏽 THIS is THE conversation to continue!
It's clear just how many lives Dwayne Haskins touched as his former teammates, coaches and Buckeye Nation mourns the loss of the Ohio State legend. https://t.co/KEKf6bCvGC
Heartbreaking story💔 We need to better support our student athletes. We’re working on a pilot course for new student athletes - educate, equip & break the stigma on mental health issues & the effects of toxic social media influence #SupportStudentAthletes#LIFEoverLOGO
My good friend started @LIFEoverLOGO after witnessing first hand the detrimental side effects facing student athletes receiving these toxic messages. These kids aren’t soft, they just fought to play their sport in isolation while the public has direct access to hate via DMs. STOP!
Ryan Day is taking zero credit for helping Harry Miller; he's just extremely proud of Harry. (Day is being humble. Him creating a culture where tough, macho football players feel comfortable speaking out about mental health issues is awesome.)
NOTE> “briefly” handcuffed used to minimize-watering down-pat on the head- “woops”. Teller called police for NO REASON, he was publicly humiliated, guns drawn, cuffed & taken outside & left in cuffs while family was detained. No brief about it… nothing but racism here😤
Bank of America has apologized to the "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler after assuming he was trying to rob a branch in Atlanta. He was briefly handcuffed by the police while trying to withdraw money in January. https://t.co/cqVPJ6O2fq
Stories like this often get framed as "celebrity news", but this is a story about systemic racism.
If this happened to Ryan Coogler at that bank, then that bank has done this to Black folks who didn't direct one of the biggest films of all time. https://t.co/SVAbeHgqai
Everyones mental health is so important. It don’t matter who you are. You can be the strongest or the wealthiest person in the world. It doesn’t mean that they are not going through stuff on there own!!
You are going to do farrrrr more in your life than you ever could have dreamed. Your vulnerability shows the greatest strength!! Thank you @AlbertBreer for showing me this warrior and all the good he can do for so many! GOD bless ya brother
This week’s #MentalHealthMatters reminder >> just because someone’s strong doesn’t mean they don’t struggle. Athletes are an easy target for this misconception & social media attacks pile on the struggle. #LIFEoverLOGO
Student Athletes >> if you have/are struggling with depression please consider sharing your story & reach out below. It’s important to break the stigma. Your story could encourage others! #MentalHealthMatters#SupportStudentAthletes
To all student athletes … every play - perfectly executed or flawed - can help craft you into the player you strive to become! Best of luck on game day & keep your head up👊🏽 #GoodVibesOnly#LIFEoverLOGO#SupportStudentAthletes
