My break from Twitter looks like it's permanent. Now they are removing protections for users and aren't going to protect users against misgendering and general hateful conduct. I thought it was bad, but now the sewage will seep into everything.
Why would I trust any of these products from @JNJGlobalHealth @JNJNews when they've made it clear they do not care for my health or the health of my fellow humans by pursuing secondary patents on bedaquiline? We are #PatientsNotPatents.

An open letter to @JNJNews. Stop pursuing the secondary patent of bedaquiline. YOU KNOW that millions of people will be unable to access lifesaving treatment for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis if you extend the patent. YOU KNOW it violates your credo. https://t.co/JArPHWpmv5
@JNJNews From your Credo: "We believe our first responsibility is to the patients..."Why are you extending the patent of bedaquiline, when allowing generic versions will save lives of people with TB worldwide? My great-grandma died of TB, people shouldn't be dying now. #EndTB
@mattyglesias The question about feminism hits me as a 60 year old woman whose dad told her he’d hire a man “because he had a family to support” differently than it hits a 25 year old man who won’t automatically be preferred or a 25 year old woman who gets hired, then faces sexual harassment.
@KaitlynSchiess@morganstrehlow I’m a school district librarian and we have shelved our fiction in genre groups. I had a convo with my Evangelical boss about the fact that Left Behind belonged in fantasy but we didn’t need that kind of trouble. I put them in “adventure” because I have mad professional skills.
@leahmcelrath I think that some people lose the ability to assess the results of their own repeated procedures. Maybe having their plastic surgeons and estheticians say they look great is a factor. Also, I’m 60 but the picture in my head is about 45. 🤣
@sewistwrites You are a good mom with a normal kid doing normal kid diet stuff. You've got protein, fat and complex carbs so you are absolutely winning!
@hankgreen@RevJSS I struggle with praying, but COVID clarified my thoughts: When people asked for prayer for their loved ones or themselves, I told them I would pray—& I did. I don’t think God changes things because we pray, but maybe we all change as we have & accept empathy.
So, I’m 🙏🏼 for you.
@LolaMotz@JonesSebastian @HospitalMedDr @TPP_MD If they are going to have surgery in the future or have an ongoing need for transfusions, many hospitals are set up to allow targeted donations. Family donors may not be compatible, though. My husband & I are not compatible to 2 of our kids. If it’s an emergency, there’s no time.
