@instablog9ja Workers need pay that keeps up with prices, and employers need clear salary structures they can actually sustain. Both sides benefit when payday is predictable.
@BlissAICyber Managing cash flow, for many. Customers can pay late while rent, stock and salaries still fall due on fixed dates. Tracking what's owed to you every week helps a lot.
New hire with no RSA? PenCom's FAQ: if an employee has not opened one 6 months after resuming, the employer asks a PFA to open a nominal (temporary) RSA for their contributions.
One RSA per person, for life.

@AramideOyekunle Well said. Paying on the agreed date is the baseline, not a favour. Even small teams can avoid delays by scheduling payroll ahead so payday never depends on someone remembering.

@solfligh So true. When sales money, stock money and personal spending all sit in one pot, it's hard to tell what's actually profit. Writing every expense down early saves a lot of stress later.
@LagoSMEbootCamp Love seeing rooms like this for Lagos founders. Hope there's a session on the back office side too, like paying staff on time and keeping records clean. That's where a lot of small teams quietly lose hours.
NHF in three lines (National Housing Fund Act):
2.5% of basic monthly salary.
The employer deducts it.
Remit to the Federal Mortgage Bank within one month of the deduction.
Not deducting, or deducting and not remitting, is an offence.

@violetuju Very true. When diesel and power take a big chunk before the first sale, owners end up delaying salaries or cutting staff. Lower running costs would be real support for SMEs.
@tdaycode Love this. Resending pictures and account details all day is so real for vendors here. One clear place to see prices and pay saves a lot of back and forth. Well done shipping it.
Payroll is due on the 28th. Your biggest customer says "early next week". For many Nigerian SMEs, late salaries are a timing problem, not a profit problem. Cash flow calendar, payroll buffer, fixed payroll dates. Our guide:

@tunde_banjoko 4% a month is close to 60% a year, so ask to see the records first. Six months of bank statements, sales and expenses will tell you more than any pitch.
@Emeka7590 That most of the work happens after the sale. Paying suppliers, staff and bills on time, chasing transfers and keeping clean records is what decides whether the business lasts.
PenCom FAQ: every employee is entitled to Group Life cover of at least 3 times their annual pay (basic plus all allowances). The employer pays the premium.
No policy? The employer must pay the equivalent amount to a deceased employee's beneficiaries.

@SahilBloom The small stuff compounds in business too. One missed follow-up or a late invoice feels minor, but it's usually what customers remember when deciding whether to stay.
Payday should feel good, not like a deadline you're racing to meet.
No scrambling through spreadsheets.
No last-minute transfers.
No wondering if someone was missed.
Smooth, on-time payments with Staff Pay.
