P elements are transposable elements, discovered in Drosophila as the causative agents of a genetic trait called hybrid dysgenesis. Hybrid dysgenesis happens when two fly lines cross that differ in the transposable elements in their genomes 🧬 #2021EBE #fruitfly

How can bat casualties at wind farm sites be reduced? BLADE FEATHERING! Whereby turbine blades stop rotating and blade angle changes, when they are not operational (fatalities have been found to be higher at lower wind speeds!) #2021EBE #Batman 🦇😊
