@JerodMcDaniel Affording the cattle to graze on those acres is a big problem. Yes you can take in cattle for others, but with cheap grains and a surplus of hay, it’s not worth much to do that and nitrogen prices are sky high.
@chancemgtalex It was 7% combined over two years. Biggest problem was I thought initial over pumping penalty was incurred in the following year, but it was 2 years later. The year I thought I was penalized, we only used 143AF
Made two small honest mistakes and over pumped a combined total of 13 acre feet on an irrigation well. The best option they gave me is to give up 188 acre feet. Anyone ever have luck fighting kdwr on a deal like this?
@laneallenw@farmerjim13 I sprayed my milo and harvested 7 days later and then drilled rye into it. Would’ve put some fertilizer down with the drill I did it again but had plenty of growth come spring.
@laneallenw 50lbs of product has been what I’ve been told the most on 7.5”. We are sandy, low ph ground so that much salt next to the seed burns it worse than other soils maybe?
