Two teenage girls who spent nearly 30 terrifying minutes hanging upside down on an Oregon amusement park ride are now awarded $550,000 by a jury.
The AtmosFEAR ride at Portland's Oaks Park malfunctioned in June 2024, leaving about 30 riders suspended vertically as emergency crews scrambled to get them down safely.
The teens' families sued Oaks Park and ride manufacturer Zamperla, arguing the crisis was made worse by a lack of a safety plan. Jurors voted 10-2 to award each teen $275,000.
Oaks Park says it is grateful all riders are safe and that safety remains its "top priority."

🚨Erling Haaland on almost joining Manchester United before moving to Manchester City:
🗣️ Erling Haaland: “Ole had already convinced me that Manchester United was the right move. He knew me, he believed in my ability and he made me genuinely excited about playing at Old Trafford. Everyone knows Manchester United is the biggest club in England and one of the biggest in the world, so naturally I was eager to make that move.
“The negotiations were around £4 million, and when the deal eventually fell through, I was genuinely disappointed. I remember thinking, ‘Maybe this was supposed to be my next step.’ It hurt because I really believed I was going to become a Manchester United player.
“I promised myself that if I ever played against United, I would make them remember that decision. I wanted to show them exactly what they had missed and prove why Ole had believed in me so strongly.
“Football sometimes takes you down a different path. I eventually joined Manchester City, but I never forgot what happened. When I faced United in 2022, there was definitely extra motivation. I wanted to show them that the player they could have signed for £4 million had become someone they could no longer ignore.”
In May 2008, Brandon Swanson was driving toward Marshall, Minnesota, around midnight when he accidentally drove his car in a ditch.
He called his parents for a ride, uninjured. During a 47-minute call with his father as he tried to describe his location, Brandon suddenly shouted “Oh sh*t!” and the line went dead.
Authorities later found his car, but Brandon was never seen again.

Lars Mittank was a 28-year-old man from Germany who vanished on July 8, 2014, near Varna Airport in Bulgaria. He had been on vacation with friends at the Golden Sands resort when he got into a fight with another group of German tourists. He was injured, suffering a ruptured eardrum and a jaw injury, and a doctor advised him not to fly home. His friends returned to Germany while he stayed behind alone to recover.
After moving to a hotel near the airport, Lars began acting strangely. He called his mother several times, whispering that people were after him and asking her to cancel his credit cards. Security cameras in the hotel showed him pacing the halls, peeking out windows, and hiding in the elevator. He left the hotel late at night, returning an hour later, and continued to sound paranoid when he called his mother again the next morning.
The day he was due to fly home, Lars went to the airport to see a doctor about his ear. The doctor later said Lars appeared nervous and confused. When a construction worker entered the room, Lars panicked, shouted that he wanted to live, and ran out, leaving all his belongings behind, including his phone, wallet, and passport. Security cameras captured him sprinting out of the terminal, climbing a fence, and disappearing into a nearby field and forest. He has never been seen again.
No one knows what caused Lars’s behavior. His mother and some doctors believe he may have suffered a reaction to the antibiotic he had been prescribed, which can in rare cases cause paranoia and hallucinations. Others think he may have had an undiagnosed mental illness or a sudden psychotic break. His doctor in Bulgaria said he never filled his prescription, adding to the mystery.
Despite years of searching, there has been no confirmed trace of him. His mother has hired investigators and believes he may still be alive but suffering from memory loss. There have been several unconfirmed sightings of him across Europe. The airport footage of his disappearance has been viewed millions of times, making Lars Mittank one of the most well-known missing persons on the internet. His case remains unsolved.

It's called trying too hard to sell an image that isn't real. So hard that it becomes funnier and funnier and ever more pathetic. Did you know my dad was a toolmaker?

Rare old clip:
London Mayor Sadiq Khan and UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, together in Pakistan years ago long before they rose to power.
It looks as if they were carefully hand-picked and groomed from a young age to lead Britain in a very specific direction. This has all the hallmarks of long-term, well-funded planning the quiet Muslim Brotherhood-style takeover of Britain from within. And now, with both in senior positions, Britain is paying the price.
Jewish citizens live in fear. Ordinary Brits are afraid to speak their minds. Parents are scared to let their daughters walk alone at night.
This wasn’t an accident. What do you think, was this planned?
