There is no specific stalking legislation in Ireland - this campaign was set up to change this, raise awareness and to support those experiencing stalking.
Well done to @naomi_long and all involved for making this happen in the north 👏🏼 Let’s hope we in the south will have stalking as a specific offence soon 🤞@lichamber@HMcEntee
Thrilled to see that the Protection from Stalking Bill has passed its Final Stage at Stormont, making stalking a specific offence in Northern Ireland carrying a maximum of 10 years. @naomi_long#StalkingAwareness#Stalking

A really positive day, a step closer to making stalking a stand-alone crime in Ireland. Thanks to @Stalking_ie@evemcdowell_ and @unaring4 for working with me on the Bill and to Minister @HMcEntee for committing to being this legislation through the Dáil. @fiannafailparty
Today my bill to make stalking a stand-alone crime passed final stage in the Seanad. A step closer to getting this much needed law on the statue books. Over now to Minister for Justice to bring it through the Dáil. Thanks to @Stalking_ie@evemcdowell_ & @unaring4@fiannafailparty
Best of luck to @lisachambersff tomorrow. Thanks to the public and politicians for their support.
If the bill passed this stage tomorrow, the next step will be for it to move through the 5 stages in the Dáil.
