My grandbaby turned 1 last week. Though I didn't share it at the time, Theo was born blue & not breathing. Praise God, the doctors were able to revive her. She is such a JOY, some days my ONLY joy. She has one tooth, is walking, & lights up whenever she sees her Oma (me!). 😍😊😋

Been gone for most of a year & feel like I owe an explanation. Within a few months of each other, 3 of the most important people in my life passed away. Then my mom's health spiraled to being in the ER 3x per week. In short, 2019 sucked. Trying to heal & get back to living again.

My sweet baby granddaughter Theo is getting so BIG, and an even bigger JOY every single day! She *knows* me now -- she reaches for me over strangers and when she's upset. However hard the last year has been (it HAS been), having the love of this little girl makes my heart FULL!

@SarcasmMyShield Agreed! Natural people watcher/wonderer here (what writer isn't? LOL!) Unfortunately, sometimes there is no logical 'why' behind the 'what' beyond 'sickness'. Again, real life experience here. BUT that's the joy of fiction, isn't it? ALWAYS a why behind the what!
