@Sushant_singh95@Media_SAI Testing should have been done months ago, not now with only weeks left for Asian relays.
A top sprinter who clocked a PB last year and who is in NADA's RTP has not been tested for the past eight months at least. What is on?!
A few explanations on Deeksha episode could be in order. This is not in reply to anyone, just random observations since explanations are often given.
1. All positive cases need not end in provisional suspension. There are substances that result in an immediate prov suspension
@olympic_indian Digital pages of papers might have more important things to discuss. We might think it is young wrestlers/ T&F athletes. They might not feel the same way. In any case fans or specialists don't decide their policies. I want to read more about athletics. Sometimes I get one para!
@NADAIndiaOffice Little point in saying the same thing day after day, week after week. Once in a while bring in a new angle or a topic or a warning. Try to improve the website. Give names of banned substances in ADDP decisions, give some details about the extent of testing at recent Fed Cup etc.
@befikramusafir The so-called "qualification" has no meaning. CGF is not asking anyone to attain a standard. It is up to @afiindia to pick or be rigid. The selectors will need to put in a word. For the record. If they don't take their best, when will they do it?
From CMs to MPs to politicians to ministers & bureaucrats several dignitaries have congratulated Gurindervir Singh for his 100m effort. Why not many seemed to have even noticed other phenomenal feats at the Fed meet including T. K. Vishal's sub-45 for 400m is a mystery!

This is a recent development. But has the new categorisation kicked in to trouble athletes?
Take this for example: Of the seven sub-46s male 400m runners currently active, four are not even in the RTP of @NADAIndiaOffice ! What stringent measures?
Parvej Khan, upgraded to second place behind Ajay Kumar Saroj in that race, is serving a six-year suspension for EPO use, from 2024, while Shashi Bhushan Singh who was 6th then is on a three-year suspension from 2025.
The Anti-Doping Appeal Panel (ADAP) has handed down a 7-year suspension to discus thrower Banvir Singh w.e.f. 23-12-24. Banvir had a combination of 'whereabouts failures' and an adverse report for steroid methandienone. He was already undergoing a two-year suspension.
Jayesh Patil (cross-country) & Ankit (steeple) have taken the easy way out by opting for 3-year suspensions for meldonium offence. They are out from Feb '26.
NADA seems to be specialising in catching obscure athletes! Or else, the leading athletes have stopped using dope!
Forty-six heats in men's 100m at Chongqing, China in a Regional invitation meet on 14-15 May. That itself might not be a surprise, but when you see Indian example, and compare, there was no DNS!!
Hockey India sacks U-18 coach over sexual misconduct charges. He was first let go by Jharkhand's sports department over allegations. 4th such case in six months. Are they serious at all in dealing with such complaints?

A few years ago, a top women's 400m star from India won some six or seven competitions on the trot in Europe. Ministers, MPs, politicians, administrators, critics etc went ecstatic on SM. They failed to assess the importance of the meets or the quality of the opposition.
