What stops the lawyer from prolonging the mediation sessions & court appearance to increase earnings on appearance fees?
@AmbokoJH@pitandirangu Why can’t KRA have a tax regime which lasts 3-5yrs, changes every year or even mid year confuse everyone and only creates work (read fees) for tax accountants. It’s like lawyers and the law. You never know really when you are clear.

@WashiraX Question is-A sand supplier probably has a lorry that is more dead then functional, kept on the road by mechanics who don’t have eTIMS, source of spairs suspect, loaded by fellows on river valleys who barely can write, fuel? Etc How is he to include his inputs? What does he make?
@WillyAbuga The problem is not residents- it’s lack of an efficient and effective waste collection services. Waste is generated continuously and it MUST be collected in a predictable frequency.
@ahmednasirlaw Change the law/regulations so legal services are competitively sourced and paid on outcomes. The current situation where the fees are based on some obscure payment rates set by lawyers irrespective of success / failure of the assignment is the source of huge legal bills.
@AmbokoJH Just enforce the law which requires that organizations - especially (govt ones and parastatals) restrict supply contracts - goods, services, works, construction et al to only local companies - this alone will make most of the items listed in this be done by other local companies.

@Kenyans It is possible for these roads to be done by Local Engineers and Local Contractors with Local funding- unfortunately our economists and planners only think of loans and foreign contractors. That stretch of proposed road has no major natural obstacles.
