Campaign on Menstrual Hygiene?!!

[UN Women India @unwomenindia]

In #India, 41% of adolescents hide the menstrual cloth in the room, 22% on
the roof, 11% share the cloth with others. Stigmatising girls & #women through misguided beliefs & age old cultural practices contributes to gender inequity & undermines basic rights. #PadMan #StandByHer

[UN Women India @unwomenindia]

In #India, 90% girls are unaware of the importance of washing menstrual cloth. Poor menstrual hygiene can cause fungal infections, Reproductive Tract Infection & Urinary Tract Infection.Unhygienic practices also leave women vulnerable to infertility. #PadMan #StandByHer
