Today, the @WhiteHouse issued a new Executive Order on “Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness” a major step toward expanding access to innovative, evidence-based care.
Dr. Leanne Williams (@LMWilliams_PhD) was at the White House for the signing and noted: “This is a much needed bold move for precision mental health… accelerating access to personalized, targeted treatments. Our work is developing brain-based tests to understand why treatments work and who they’ll be most effective for. With this mandate, we can accelerate saving lives and getting people well sooner.”
A meaningful moment for the future of precision mental health.

🧠 DAY 3 | Research in action
Stay tuned throughout the day as we highlight several of our flagship studies in the Center for Precision Mental Health.
This morning, we are sharing our Accelerating Cognition Guided Signatures to Enhance Translation in Depression (ACE-D) Study. This study was made possible through our partnership with the NIH’s IMPACT-MH consortium, which strives to support mental health research that can transform psychiatric clinical practice. ACE-D explores how neuroimaging can be integrated into clinical decision-making to make depression diagnosis and treatment more precise, personal, and efficient.

🧠 Day 2 | Precision Mental Health Week
Computational methods and brain-based data are transforming psychiatry. Two people with the same diagnosis can differ fundamentally in neurobiology and treatment response. Normative models and AI foundation models can capture this individual variation, moving the field from one-size-fits-all toward precision care that guides the right treatment to the right person.
Today, we’re highlighting Dr. Teddy Akiki (@teddyjakiki) and his work featured in Nature Computational Science @NatComputSci
