Starting to think ahead to Monday now. We must remember that Monday isn’t just another Monday. It’s not like the day back after a holiday. It’s been nearly 3 months of the children not seeing one another properly. Monday needs to have the warmest welcome you can possibly give.
First term as an NQT complete✔ however my worst nightmare has happened.. COVID has hit my bubble and yesterday we were sent home. No Christmas lunch, no party today and some very upset chn. What a rubbish end to what has been a fabulous term😥
@_missmcwhinney I am just in the process of buying and have managed to get a mortgage with Accord as an NQT through our mortgage advisor! They asked for 3 months payslips and a copy of my contract. (My OH has been in his job for 5 years so I think that has helped too)
As so many amazing people on Twitter have helped me to discover lots of children’s books with BAME characters or authors, I put this together to share some of them! Over summer, I am going to invest in many of these books to ensure my future classroom celebrates diversity 💜💜💜
@MissCooke6 I take the my receptions out for break time and then come in, wash hands and they all sit and eat their snack. Calms the children down after break time too x
What a crazy day today has been😯 taught my lovely receptions all morning, had a job interview, received my grade for my dissertation and accepted a job in my dream school🥳
If you are working in a Reception bubble or pod next week for the first time, here are some thoughts after my first week...
1. The govt does not require them to socially distance but I've encouraged it. However, they need to touch (lick?!) each other sometimes and that's fine.
