The judges of the Superior Court of CA, County of Stanislaus, have confirmed Judge Kellee Westbrook as Presiding Judge following the resignation of Judge Sonny Sandhu, who recently was nominated to serve as an Associate Justice of the California Fifth District Court of Appeal.

The Court announces relocation of two courtrooms in the Modesto Courthouse effective Monday, June 8, 2026. Judge Mumford will relocate to Dept. 7, continuing to hear assigned felony calendar, and Judge K. Westbrook will relocate to Dept. 9, continuing to hear misdemeanor matters.
A productive visit highlighting judicial and legislative collaboration was held March 13 with Assemblymember Juan Alanis. A brief tour of the New Modesto Courthouse with Presiding Judge Sonny Sandhu and Assistant Presiding Judge Kellee C. Westbrook was part of the event.
The 42nd Mock Trial Championship was held Feb 3, featuring Gregori High and Turlock High. The Scott Steffen Championship Trophy was awarded to Gregori. Judge Villalobos presided and Judge Israels presented The Wray Ladine Inn of Court Spirit of Stanislaus County Mock Trial Award.
