@AngliaGrainSeed on site today to clean spring Linseed. This will be drilled as a companion crop in our spring Oats and Barley as part of our SFI commitment.

Linseed has a deep roots which will leave the soil in a better condition for our crops in Spring 2024 and beyond 🌱

🌳Palmer hedgelaying have successfully rejuvenated an overgrown and dilapidated hedge and Duffin Contractors have planted a new hedge to connect two ancient ones

The hedges will now grow back healthier, creating a fantastic wildlife corridor🐦‍⬛🐞🦋🐜🌿

🗺️ 2000 acres harvested
🌾 6000 tonnes in the shed
⏰ 289 hours and 36 minutes done in the combine
🌧️ 84.89ml of rain to contend with over the 7 weeks (🤯)

🚜 With cultivation and mole ploughing well underway, it’s autumn drilling next 🚜

While the combine has been running flat out, we've been keeping up with the next jobs starting with cultivation 🚜
We break up the stubble to prepare next years seed bed. Minimal cultivations, keep costs down, protect the soil's flora and fauna and keeps the carbon in the soil🌱

Some beautiful floral displays at St Andrews Church, Whissendine for their flower festival 🌺🪻

Some of the displays even included some Stapleford wheat, oats and barley, it’s never looked so pretty! 🌾
