Nice work @pdxmitch x @turoczy doubling down on our roots as a state.
Applications for the @BuiltOregon consumer products accelerator are open until May 22, 2023. I, for one, am really looking forward to learning about a whole bunch of awesome Oregon consumer products in the next few weeks. /cc @pdxmitch@pdxbizmalia https://t.co/H4CqCzFIN3
#BHM Day 19 - @CharlieGilkey founder of Productive Flourishing. He helps people start finishing what matters most ans is the author of critically-acclaimed books like Start Finishing: How to Go from Idea to Done, The Small Business Lifecycle, and Team Habits.
For day 9 of #BHM, WOHM honors the sneakerhead who makes things happen for Black and brown businesses, @PDXStephenG.
The enigmatic vocal proponent of Black/POC business success left the world of banking to pursue his goal of supporting "underestimated" founders.

#BHM Day 4 - Ian Williams, founder @DeadstockPDX in Old Town. Ian’s brand/vision has never wavered & resulted in Deadstock being one of the most recognizable PDX brands. But more importantly, it remains a community gathering space for conversations, connections, & smiles.
Comments on a PDX Startup Slack channel thread reminded me of this @Medium post @turoczy & I wrote 3 years ago.
It's hard to break the normal thinking around startup/founder life but I truly hope that we can reframe it in a human way going forwards.

Just got this Built Festival Main Event recap video and it's so fun to look back and relive such an amazing afternoon filled with fireside conversations and community.
In the early days of @piepdx, there was a palpable feeling of community, albeit for a limited group of startup folks. The current version of @BuiltOregon has rekindled that same feeling. Only for a much broader and far more inclusive community of entrepreneurs. Thanks, @pdxmitch!
1/12 About a week away from hearing some amazing fireside conversations at our main event on 10/21 (🧵below). It's an afternoon filled with inspiring talks, networking, community, and a happy hour reception.

I want to believe every city has a @turoczy who's thinking about how to position innovation, #tech & #startups will solving real problems but I know #PDX is just really lucky. @piepdx next cohort will be focused on tools & resources to help the unhoused🙏🏾

Here you go, more than 50 Black owned businesses from around Oregon that you can support. Thanks to @siliconflorist for the recap that you do. #BlackHistoryMonth may be over but you can keep the momentum moving through the year by supporting these businesses. #BHM@BuiltOregon
