The Universe’s Color: "Cosmic Latte" ☕✨

Did you know the average color of the universe is called Cosmic Latte? 🌠 Astronomers at Johns Hopkins University analyzed the light from over 200,000 galaxies and discovered this creamy, beigeish white hue. But naming the color was almost as fun as the discovery itself! 🪐💫

When the corrected color was announced, the researchers asked for name suggestions (jokingly insisting it couldn’t be "beige"). 📝 Here are some of the creative contenders:

- Cappuccino Cosmico ☕ (17 votes)
- Big Bang Buff/Blush/Beige 💥 (13 votes)
- Cosmic Cream 🌟 (8 votes)
- Skyvory 🌌 (7 votes)
- Primordial Clam Chowder 🤔 (4 votes)

Although "Cappuccino Cosmico" received the most votes, the team settled on "Cosmic Latte" for its nod to Galileo’s Italian roots. "Latte" means "milk" in Italian, and the term links beautifully to the Milky Way, "Via Lattea". Plus, the researchers admitted they might be "caffeine biased." ☕😄
