As someone who was actually on the inside @BitMartExchange, seeing them shut down comes as zero surprise. I saw the reality firsthand l from exploiting CIS region employees with impossible KPIs specifically designed to void our salaries, to a completely bad-faith internal culture. They were constantly deceiving staff, traders, and KOLs, refusing to pay earned salaries and bonuses instead of building something sustainable.
That non-stop deception was the exact reason I walked away and pulled my key partners as far away from that exchange as possible.
This week, I was at a conference in Hong Kong listening to their CEO @50Nent speak, and even up to the very last minute, they were still trying to extract every bit of cash from people before pulling the plug. Absolutely disgraceful.
Moving to @WEEX_Official was the best decision I’ve made. The contrast is night and day, finally working with a team that actually honors every commitment to employees, traders, and partners.
To everyone migrating away from BitMart: drop me a DM. I’ll personally set you up with the VIP terms and respect you should’ve had from day one🤝
What’s really happening to brokers in 2026?
After attending WikiExpo Hong Kong, I left with one simple impression:
Most brokers are selling exactly the same thing.
The same promises:
low fees, fast execution, hundreds of instruments, copy trading, AI, high affiliate rebates.
The only real difference is the color of the booth.
The biggest challenge today isn’t launching yet another product.
It’s explaining why a trader should choose your platform when there are ten others offering almost the same thing.
And that’s where things get interesting.
Bonuses no longer build loyalty.
They create bonus hunters.
A high affiliate rebate doesn’t build a brand.
It simply buys traffic until someone else offers a higher commission.
Hundreds of trading pairs don’t matter if you lack deep liquidity, reliable local payment methods, and customer support that actually responds.
Another obvious trend is that the line between crypto and TradFi has almost disappeared.
Traders don’t really care whether you call yourself a crypto exchange, a broker, or a fintech ecosystem.
They want one place where they can trade BTC, gold, oil, and the Nasdaq, deposit and withdraw funds easily, and avoid switching between five different platforms.
The next winners won’t be the companies with the longest feature list.
They’ll be the ones that successfully combine: deep liquidity, local payment infrastructure, strong distribution, a reliable product and, most importantly trust.
Several people have reached out to me saying they are unable to withdraw their funds from @BitMart_zh.
To better understand the situation, I contacted members of the BitMart team directly. According to the information they shared with me, they have been submitting internal requests through the company’s Lark system to escalate users’ withdrawal issues. However, the technical operations team responsible for handling these requests has not been responding, leaving many cases unresolved.
From everything I’ve seen and heard, there appears to be serious internal dysfunction, and I am deeply concerned about users who still have funds on the platform.
If you are affected, I strongly encourage you to keep records of all communications and transactions, and to seek independent legal advice or contact the appropriate authorities in your jurisdiction if you believe your rights have been affected.
I sincerely hope everyone is able to recover their funds.
If you’re looking for a reliable alternative, feel free to contact me. I can help you get started with @WEEX_Official , where I’ll provide competitive trading conditions and explain the platform’s user protection mechanisms, including its protection fund for exceptional situations. @OdailyChina@wenwenweb3
Every day I see new posts like: “I lost money on @BitMart_zh ” or “I can’t withdraw my funds.”
The crypto industry moves fast. While some exchanges are fading away, others are investing heavily in products, security, marketing, global events, and long-term partnerships.
That’s exactly why I joined @WEEX_Official . The exchange is actively expanding across more than 200 countries, and we’re always looking for traders, KOLs, and partners who want to grow with us.
If you’re looking for a reliable exchange and competitive partnership terms, feel free to DM me. Let’s build something together. 🚀
Unfortunately, I’m not surprised.
From the outside, everything may have looked fine, but internally it was obvious that BitMart had stopped investing in growth. Media development was practically nonexistent, teams were being reduced, and it was clear from conversations with the BD team over the last few months that the company wasn’t interested in expanding or building long-term partnerships anymore.
If you’re ever interested in exploring a partnership with WEEX instead, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to discuss how we can work together.
As someone who worked at BitMart, I honestly wouldn’t expect any meaningful public explanation from Sheldon.
During my time there, he never seemed genuinely focused on users or transparency. What received far more attention internally were operational matters and internal systems, not user communication.
The company’s approach was also very telling: employees could be informed they were being let go and then lose access to all internal systems literally within minutes, with no further communication.
So if that was how employees were treated, I wouldn’t expect users to suddenly receive detailed explanations now.
It’s easy to call every centralized exchange a scam, but accusations should be backed by facts, not assumptions.
WEEX has a user protection fund and security measures in place to protect users in the event of hacks or other unexpected incidents. If you have concrete evidence that contradicts this, please share it. Otherwise, this looks more like spreading FUD than an objective analysis.
@Inpunkcrypto@BitMart_es@BitMartExchange That’s crazy…I previously worked at BitMart..I can try to reach out some team members, of course, can’t guarantee anything, but at least can try
@RagerrrYT Sorry to hear that…I previously worked at BitMart. While I can’t promise anything, I may be able to help point you in the right direction or escalate your case internally
Yeah, it’s really unfortunate. From what I know, the team is barely operating internally anymore, and support isn’t responding to users. If you want, send me your UID in a DM. I used to work at BitMart, so I still have contacts there. I can’t promise anything, but I’ll check with my former colleagues and see if there’s any way to help move your case forward, especially since it’s a large amount. Hopefully I can help.
@2wwd_@BitMartExchange@cz_binance@zachxbt Damn, that’s really unfortunate. Send me your UID in DM. I used to work at BitMart, and I still have contacts with people who have access to the internal chats. I’ll try to reach out to them and see if they can help push your case forward. Hopefully we can get some movement.
Took a quick long on $ETH for +23%📈
Not rushing into another position yet. Sometimes waiting is the best trade
