Single-cell & spatial profiling uncovers messed-up immune regulation in human skin granuloma. Macrophages, T cells & fibroblasts interact but no longer “understand” each other, and create inflammatory lesions. Check out our new paper in @ImmunityCP: https://t.co/U2vC6qOvtu [1/10]
The study was published in @ImmunityCP. Great teamwork with Georg Stary’s lab (@StaryGeorg), led by first authors Thomas Krausgruber (@TKrausgruber), Anna Redl, Daniele Barreca & many others. We particularly thank all patients who agreed to contribute samples to this study [9/10]
Featured in our latest episode: an @ImmunityCP paper from Drs. @Simona_Saluzzo & Georg Stary (@StaryGeorg) at @MedUni_Wien shows that early #HIV treatment is needed to prevent irreversible memory #TCell loss.

In a new @ScienceTM publication, a @MedUni_Wien team led by LBI-RUD/CeMM Adjunct PI Georg Stary (@StaryGeorg) has identified an immune mechanism responsible for the inflammatory reactions to #StemCell transplantation in the treatment of #leukemia ➡️https://t.co/0Px0HXLmLM
We wish you a happy #Halloween ahead!🦇👻This year is a little different but we try to honor our @CeMM_News traditions in the best possible way. Take a look at our pumpkins🎃 fresh from the labs & offices at CeMM, ready for the #PumpkinContest!
In #human liver tissue, @StaryGeorg and @MedUni_Vienna, @oeaw scientists identified a natural killer cell population – considered part of the innate #immune system – that can adopt adaptive immune functions, such as recall responses to foreign invaders: https://t.co/Q2q0oj09FU
@Fer_NK_nando That‘s an interesting question and a matter of debate, I agree. The phenotypic characterization of ILC1s is often problematic. When you think about Eric Viviers Review in cell 2018, he excluded CD56 as an ILC1 marker. We defined the cells as CD56+CD3-CD16-CD49a+.
