Despite wearing a protective vest, Bumi was shot multiple times and died from his injuries. This is the department’s third K9 loss this year. Sheriff Leon Lott expressed outrage, saying the teens involved made "adult decisions" in a senseless act of violence. The sheriff’s department vows to hold those responsible accountable.
