Over on my free Patreon, I have decided to work on an 8-page story to start. There will be ongoing process pics each day to few days as I work them out. From Layouts to Letters. Posted nowhere else. Might make for a unique experience.

Which is a critical problem in a lot of indie comics. The creator creates the world then babies it. Stays in the safe zone to be able to tell more stories. Not always a good path for longevity. Specifically for horror, sci-fi, action and fantasy. War and Western too.
I find one of the best ways to tell a story is to establish the environment then break it. Point A to B is easy but there is no story there so tell so it gets harder. Pacific Rim is done if the walls kept the monsters out. John Wick is done if he was left alone in peace.
While I can certainly draw and write R-rated stuff. I always felt I had a place in the high PG-lower PG-13 style stuff. Accessible for anyone. Cool enough to make kids feel older and enjoyable enough to make adults feel a bit younger. It's called "All-ages" for a reason.
I want to see cheaper movies. More chances can be taken and more creativity explored. It's not as much of a financial risk. The last, roughly two decades have had a LOT of blockbusters to the point, in my opinion, they get samey. Looking forward to smaller passion projects.

The perk from crowdfunding (besides the comic) that has been my favorite has always been the bookmark. Useful, reusable and each unique. I suppose the trading card can also be used as bookmarks too. All the rest was always a distant second as I mostly wanted a good quality book.
Just assuring @aaronlopresti and @gnolan12 that The Searchers is getting viewed for the first time the right way with a 100 inch screen and theatrical sound bar.
More original art to add to my collection! Not comic theme, but there is a bit of sentimentality to some of the aspects of this painting. ❤️

II have been prioritizing artists that share art to get my timeline right. If all stays well, I get some great Christian posts and some great art. The rest, I'm happy to leave in the background. I want to see hardworking artists succeed. Be it in book or just visibility.
Before I shipped out the commission I did for @Amanda_B_4 I took a photo of it. It gives a good representation of the vibrancy of the color and also the detail. Oil on 11"x14" canvas.
Going to start getting some colored pencil sketches from time to time into my grab bag posts on Patreon. Some more variety for the visitors. Goodnight and God bless!
