There is always so much confusion in what Theonomy actually teaches as if it’s some sort of government takeover by the Church but that is absolutely incorrect. Theonomy starts with the individual and is worked out in society through reformation and revival not revolution.
@gigirunner@mark_the_fig The fact that Jesus, and the Bible speaks very positively towards 1 man/1 woman marriage and apparently nothing of same sex marriage should actually speak volumes. Especially, when the rest of the Bible clearly condemns same sex relations.
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ I don’t disagree. Repentance and Faith (believing in Christ) are two sides of the same coin, but that leaves me scratching my head on where we’re disagreeing. None of what you’re saying here was done. I’m confused on what you’re arguing!
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ But the homosexual agenda is from the pit of hell. It actively opposes God and promotes rebellion. It must be opposed, especially by Christians.
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ Last thing, I also believe Jayden was speaking out more against this homosexual agenda being pushed by our society, rather than individuals caught up in the sin of homosexuality. He may deal with the 2 completely different. I would! Someone caught in sexual sin is still imago dei
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ Now, can you please bring that back around to this conversation? Jayden speaks out against the homosexual agenda and you said there’s no condemnation in Christ. Jayden is not speaking to Christians but rather to those seeking to push a god hating agenda. I’m lost on your point.
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ Maybe I’m not following your argument. Let me just ask, you said “Paul talks about you you were before Christ dying for your sin” and “How you should live because of who you are now in Christ”, are you talking about Christians?
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ No, Paul is speaking on the comparison between those who have covenanted with Christ and those who remain in rebellion to Him. Paul is not a universalist who believes that no one is condemned, but rather there is no condemnation for those IN CHRIST. Not everyone is in Christ.
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, true, but nothing but condemnation for those outside of Christ.
Also Romans 8:
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ So you actually don’t believe there’s a way to call out the homosexual agenda lovingly? I agree that having a private conversation with a private person is a good idea, but he’s calling out an agenda that is ungodly and promoting/normalizing sin. So yes, he is representing Jesus!
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ So we agree on the rights of each party philosophically, I don’t actually know the legalities, but the point that even prompted my response wasn’t rights, it was how could he have opposed the homosexual agenda in a loving way, since you said if he did he would still be a Bull.
@salutetheflagg @dekker@JonnyRoot_ I know this is a late response, so if you’ve moved on I understand, but do you mind showing me in the Bible where you derive these claims?
@BigDaddyK25@dekker@JonnyRoot_ Well, he absolutely does have the right to go on IG live and talk badly about the organization he works for, same as anyone else.
@BigDaddyK25 @angelicdoc828 @dekker@JonnyRoot_ But none of that equates to Jayden being unloving.
Now in all fairness, I don’t watch basketball so for all I know the boy can be trash and this is just an excuse to get rid of him. I don’t know. But the things I’ve seen on this issue don’t seem to be unloving.
@BigDaddyK25 @angelicdoc828 @dekker@JonnyRoot_ And just like I believe an organization has the freedom of association, and can hire or fire whomever they please, I also believe people have a right to express outrage and point out the hypocrisy within an organization as well. 2/
