The Tories have crowned Rishi Sunak without him saying a word about what he would do as PM. He has no mandate, no answers and no ideas. Nobody voted for this.
The public deserve their say on Britainโs future through a General Election. Itโs time for a fresh start with Labour.
Can someone explain to me who chose Andy Burnham to be British Prime Minister? He wasnโt even an MP. He was given a seat and being crowned immediately as PM. This is absolute proof that the electorate are of zero relevance in this country. Anyone who still believes Britain is a democracy is extremely naive.
I don't know if Kier will resign tomorrow - but what I think is an absolute national tragedy is that the Labour Party haven't got a single MP out of all 403 of them in parliament that are deemed good enough to replace him! They've had to go to the Mayor of Manchester, shoe horn him in as an MP, just so they have someone with a modicum of charisma and gravitas to be the next PM.
The lack of talent, business know-how and intelligence across all our MP's in all parties is what is, in my opinion, what is wrong with our country. I just wish we could fix it, but of course we can't because it relies on those very MP's to change this - and, as we all know, turkeys don't vote for Christmas!
๐จ Jรผrgen Klopp has launched a scathing attack on the cooling breaks being used during this World Cup. ๐
"Football is being held hostage by executives sitting in air-conditioned offices.
These breaks are being presented as a shield for player welfare, a noble weapon against the heat. In reality, they are nothing more than a golden cage built for sponsors.
When I saw players standing around during cooling breaks while television timeouts dictated the rhythm of the match, I couldn't help but ask myself: who is the World Cup really serving?
The supporters? The players? Or the advertisers?
A World Cup match should flow like a river. Instead, we are building dams in the middle of it so commercials can be shown.
It's dangerous for the spirit of the game. Football used to be the main event, but it now risks becoming background music for an advertising show."
He didn't hold back. ๐๐
@thegingerwig Wow, need to take them blue tints off on this one pal, been given a lesson tonight on how to play as a team & work hard etc. Have been miles off it & clearly underestimated a weaker (on paper) side!
